Organic Mandukparni Tablets (MA7940)
Organic Mandukaparni (Gotu Kola)
Mandukaparni (Centella asiatica), the “plant with the frog-shaped leaves”, also known as Gotu Kola, is comparable with the Ayurvedic Brahmi. Sometimes it is even called Brahmi because of its similar properties.
In Indian mythology, Brahmi is the goddess of knowledge and learning. Mandukaparni falls under a special category of Ayurvedic herbs that can be used individually as well as combined with other herbs.
Mandukaparni and Ayurveda
Gotu Kola is an Ayurvedic herb that was first used in India where it has a reputation for promoting long life and rejuvenating the body and mind. Many Yogis still use this plant in its fresh form as an aid to meditation. Gotu kola is said to develop the crown chakra, the energy centre at the top of the head, and to balance the right and left hemispheres of the brain - which the leaf is said to resemble. It is regarded as one of the most important rejuvenative herbs in traditional Ayurveda.
